|Full Name||sphingomyelin phosphodiesterase 1, acid lysosomal|
|Product Description||Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to ASM (sphingomyelin phosphodiesterase 1, acid lysosomal)|
|Background||The protein encoded by this gene is a lysosomal acid sphingomyelinase that converts sphingomyelin to ceramide. The encoded protein also has phospholipase C activity. Defects in this gene are a cause of Niemann-Pick disease type A (NPA) and Niemann-Pick disease type B (NPB). Three transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene. |Synonyms||ASM antibody, ASMASE antibody, NPD antibody, SMPD1 antibody, sphingomyelin phosphodiesterase antibody, acid sphingomyelinase antibody, "sphingomyelin phosphodiesterase 1, acid lysosomal antibody"|
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the center region of human ASM. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
Please note that we are only able to guarantee products to work in applications and species in which they have been tested.
