|Full Name||arylsulfatase A|
|Product Description||Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to Arylsulfatase A|
|Background||The protein encoded by this gene hydrolyzes cerebroside sulfate to cerebroside and sulfate. Defects in this gene lead to metachromatic leucodystrophy (MLD), a progressive demyelination disease which results in a variety of neurological symptoms and ultimately death. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants, one of which encodes a distinct protein, have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]|
|Synonyms||MLD antibody, ARSA antibody, arylsulfatase A antibody, ASA antibody, cerebroside-sulfatase antibody|
|Cellular Localization||Lysosome |
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the center region of human ARSA. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
Please note that we are only able to guarantee products to work in applications and species in which they have been tested.
