|Full Name||ceruloplasmin (ferroxidase)|
|Product Description||Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to Ceruloplasmin (ceruloplasmin (ferroxidase))|
|Background||The protein encoded by this gene is a metalloprotein that binds most of the copper in plasma and is involved in the peroxidation of Fe(II)transferrin to Fe(III) transferrin. Mutations in this gene cause aceruloplasminemia, which results in iron accumulation and tissue damage, and is associated with diabetes and neurologic abnormalities. [provided by RefSeq]|
|Synonyms||CP-2 antibody, CP antibody, ceruloplasmin antibody, ceruloplasmin (ferroxidase) antibody|
|Cellular Localization||Secreted |
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the N-terminus region of human Ceruloplasmin. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Species Reactivity||Human, Mouse, Rat|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
