|Full Name||dihydrofolate reductase|
|Product Description||Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to DHFR (dihydrofolate reductase)|
|Background||Dihydrofolate reductase converts dihydrofolate into tetrahydrofolate, a methyl group shuttle required for the de novo synthesis of purines, thymidylic acid, and certain amino acids. While the functional dihydrofolate reductase gene has been mapped to chromosome 5, multiple intronless processed pseudogenes or dihydrofolate reductase-like genes have been identified on separate chromosomes. Dihydrofolate reductase deficiency has been linked to megaloblastic anemia. [provided by RefSeq]|
|Synonyms||DHFRP1 antibody, DYR antibody, DHFR antibody, dihydrofolate reductase antibody|
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the center region of human DHFR. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Species Reactivity||Human, Rat|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
