|Purification||Purified by antigen-affinity chromatography.|
|Full Name||glutamic-pyruvate transaminase (alanine aminotransferase)|
|Product Description||Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to GPT (glutamic-pyruvate transaminase (alanine aminotransferase))|
|Background||Glutamate-pyruvate transaminase (EC 184.108.40.206), also known as alanine aminotransferase, catalyzes the reversible conversion of L-alanine and alpha-ketoglutarate to L-glutamate and pyruvate. It has 2 distinct molecular and genetic forms: one cytoplasmic (soluble) (GPT1) and one mitochondrial (GPT2; MIM 138210). See ALTQTL1 (MIM 612363) and ALTQTL2 (MIM 612364) for information on quantitative trait loci influencing the plasma level of alanine aminotransferase.[supplied by OMIM]|
|Synonyms||AAT1 antibody, ALT1 antibody, GPT1 antibody, GPT antibody, alanine aminotransferase 1 antibody, glutamic-alanine transaminase 1 antibody, glutamate pyruvate transaminase 1 antibody, glutamic--pyruvic transaminase 1 antibody, glutamic--alanine transaminase 1 antibody, GPT 1 antibody, glutamic-pyruvate transaminase (alanine aminotransferase) antibody|
|Cellular Localization||Cytoplasm |
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the N-terminus region of human GPT. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Species Reactivity||Human, Mouse|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
