ApplicationsIHC-P, WB
Application NoteApprox 35kDa band observed in Human Placenta lysates (calculated MW of 34.5kDa according to NP_057399.1). Recommended concentration: 0.2-0.6µg/ml. An additional band of unknown identity was also consistently observed at approx.46kDa. This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunising peptide. We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any such results been reported with other antibodies/lysates? Have any further splice variants/modified forms been reported? In paraffin embedded Human Kidney shows staining of cytoplasm, stronger in a selection of epithelial cells of distal convoluted tubules. Recommended concentration, 5-10 µg/ml.
Positive ControlsThe peptide used to product this antibody is available for purchase (Catalog Number:GTX22751-PEP).
Form SuppliedLiquid
Concentration0.5 mg/ml (Please refer to the vial label for the specific concentration)
PurificationPurified from goat serum by ammonium sulphate precipitation followed by antigen affinity chromatography using the immunizing peptide.

  • Specifications: GULP1 antibody, C-term

Full NameGULP, engulfment adaptor PTB domain containing 1
BackgroundThe prompt clearance of cells undergoing apoptosis is critical during embryonic development, normal tissue turnover, as well as inflammation and autoimmunity. CED6 and its human homologue gulp, encode an adapter protein, whose function in engulfment. The upstream and downstream components of CED6 mediated signaling are not known. Recently, CED1 has been shown to encode a transmembrane protein on phagocytic cells, with two functional sequence motifs in its cytoplasmic tail that are important for engulfment.
SynonymsOTTHUMP00000205909, GULP1 / CED6, CED-6 protein, OTTHUMP00000205908, GULP, engulfment adaptor PTB domain containing1, CED-6, engulfment adapter protein, FLJ31156, PTB domain adaptor protein CED6, PTB domain adaptor protein C, GULP, engulfment adaptor PTB domain containing 1, CED6, OTTHUMP00000205911, CED6 protein, CED 6, CED 6 protein
