|Full Name||mutS homolog 3 (E. coli)|
|Product Description||Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to MSH3 (mutS homolog 3 (E. coli))|
|Background||Component of the post-replicative DNA mismatch repair system (MMR). Heterodimerizes with MSH2 to form MutS beta which binds to DNA mismatches thereby initiating DNA repair. When bound, the MutS beta heterodimer bends the DNA helix and shields approximately 20 base pairs. MutS beta recognizes large insertion-deletion loops (IDL) up to 13 nucleotides long. After mismatch binding, forms a ternary complex with the MutL alpha heterodimer, which is thought to be responsible for directing the downstream MMR events, including strand discrimination, excision, and resynthesis.|
|Synonyms||DUP antibody, MGC163306 antibody, MGC163308 antibody, MRP1 antibody, MSH3 antibody, mismatch repair protein 1 antibody, divergent upstream protein antibody, hMSH3 antibody, DNA mismatch repair protein Msh3 antibody, mutS homolog 3 (E. coli) antibody|
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the N-terminus region of human MSH3. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
Please note that we are only able to guarantee products to work in applications and species in which they have been tested.
|Predict Reactivity Note||Bovine (82%)|
