N-Cadherin antibody [13A9]
|Applications||ICC/IF, IHC-Fr, IHC-P, IP, WB|
| Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence||Assay-dependent dilution
| IHC (Frozen sections)||Assay-dependent dilution
| IHC (Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections)||Assay-dependent dilution
| Immunoprecipitation||Assay-dependent dilution
IHC (Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) : This product requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended for this purpose.Not tested in other applications.
Western blot : This antibody detects a band of approximately 135-140kDa in human HT-1080 and HeLa celllysates.
*Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the researcher.

|Purification||Protein G purified|
|Purification Note||From tissue culture supernatant|
|Full Name||cadherin 2|
|Product Description||Mouse monoclonal antibody [13A9] to N-Cadherin|
|Background||This gene is a classical cadherin from the cadherin superfamily. The encoded protein is a calcium dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein comprised of five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region and a highly conserved cytoplasmic tail. The protein functions during gastrulation and is required for establishment of left-right asymmetry. At certain central nervous system synapses, presynaptic to postsynaptic adhesion is mediated at least in part by this gene product. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]|
