|Full Name||propionyl CoA carboxylase, alpha polypeptide|
|Product Description||Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to PCCA (propionyl CoA carboxylase, alpha polypeptide)|
|Background||The protein encoded by this gene is the alpha subunit of the heterodimeric mitochondrial enzyme Propionyl-CoA carboxylase. PCCA encodes the biotin-binding region of this enzyme. Mutations in either PCCA or PCCB (encoding the beta subunit) lead to an enzyme deficiency resulting in propionic acidemia. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]|
|Synonyms||PCCA antibody, propanoyl-CoA:carbon dioxide ligase alpha subunit antibody, "propionyl Coenzyme A carboxylase, alpha polypeptide antibody", "propionyl-CoA carboxylase alpha chain, mitochondrial antibody", PCCase alpha subunit antibody, pccA complementation group antibody, "propionyl CoA carboxylase, alpha polypeptide antibody"|
|Cellular Localization||Mitochondrion matrix|
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the C-terminus region of human PCCA. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
