|Full Name||pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase, isozyme 1|
|Product Description||Rabbit polyclonal antibody to PDK1 (pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase, isozyme 1)|
|Background||Pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH) is a mitochondrial multienzyme complex that catalyzes the oxidative decarboxylation of pyruvate and is one of the major enzymes responsible for the regulation of homeostasis of carbohydrate fuels in mammals. The enzymatic activity is regulated by a phosphorylation/dephosphorylation cycle. Phosphorylation of PDH by a specific pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase (PDK) results in inactivation. [provided by RefSeq]|
|Synonyms||PDK1 antibody, "pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase, isoenzyme 1 antibody", "pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase, isozyme 1 antibody", "mitochondrial pyruvate dehydrogenase, lipoamide, kinase isoenzyme 1 antibody"|
|Cellular Localization||Mitochondrion matrix|
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the center region of human PDK1. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
Please note that we are only able to guarantee products to work in applications and species in which they have been tested.
