|Product Description||Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to Peripherin (peripherin)|
|Background||This gene encodes a cytoskeletal protein found in neurons of the peripheral nervous system. The encoded protein is a type III intermediate filament protein with homology to other cytoskeletal proteins such as desmin, and is a different protein that the peripherin found in photoreceptors. Mutations in this gene have been associated with susceptibility to amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. [provided by RefSeq]|
|Synonyms||NEF4 antibody, PRPH1 antibody, PRPH antibody, neurofilament 4 (57kD) antibody, peripherin antibody|
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the center region of human Peripherin. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
