|Full Name||protease, serine, 8|
|Product Description||Rabbit polyclonal antibody to Prostasin (protease, serine, 8)|
|Background||This gene encodes a trypsinogen, which is a member of the trypsin family of serine proteases. This enzyme is highly expressed in prostate epithelia and is one of several proteolytic enzymes found in seminal fluid. The proprotein is cleaved to produce a light chain and a heavy chain which are associated by a disulfide bond. It is active on peptide linkages involving the carboxyl group of lysine or arginine. |Synonyms||CAP1 antibody, PROSTASIN antibody, PRSS8 antibody, channel-activating protease 1 antibody, serine protease 8 antibody, "protease, serine, 8 antibody"|
|Cellular Localization||Prostasin: Cell membrane; Single-pass membrane protein , Prostasin light chain: Secreted , extracellular space , Prostasin heavy chain: Secreted |
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the center region of human Prostasin. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
Please note that we are only able to guarantee products to work in applications and species in which they have been tested.
|Predict Reactivity Note||Rhesus Monkey (92%)|
