|Full Name||pyruvate kinase, liver and RBC|
|Product Description||Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to Pyruvate Kinase (liver/RBC) (pyruvate kinase, liver and RBC)|
|Background||The protein encoded by this gene is a pyruvate kinase that catalyzes the transphosphorylation of phohsphoenolpyruvate into pyruvate and ATP, which is the rate-limiting step of glycolysis. Defects in this enzyme, due to gene mutations or genetic variations, are the common cause of chronic hereditary nonspherocytic hemolytic anemia (CNSHA or HNSHA). Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]|
|Synonyms||PK1 antibody, PKL antibody, PKR antibody, PKRL antibody, RPK antibody, PKLR antibody, R-type/L-type pyruvate kinase antibody, pyruvate kinase type L antibody, red cell/liver pyruvate kinase antibody, pyruvate kinase 1 antibody, pyruvate kinase isozyme R/L antibody, "pyruvate kinase, liver and blood cell antibody", pyruvate kinase isozymes R/L antibody, "pyruvate kinase, liver and RBC antibody"|
|Specificity||This antibody is raised against the R-Type isoform. Based on a BLAST result, it may also react with the L-Type isoform.|
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the center region of human Pyruvate Kinase (liver/RBC). The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Species Reactivity||Human, Rat|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
Please note that we are only able to guarantee products to work in applications and species in which they have been tested.
|Mouse, Dog, Bovine|
|Predict Reactivity Note||Mouse (93%), Dog (93%), Bovine (94%)|
