|Full Name||retinoblastoma 1|
|Product Description||Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to Rb (retinoblastoma 1)|
|Background||The protein encoded by this gene is a negative regulator of the cell cycle and was the first tumor suppressor gene found. The encoded protein also stabilizes constitutive heterochromatin to maintain the overall chromatin structure. The active, hypophosphorylated form of the protein binds transcription factor E2F1. Defects in this gene are a cause of childhood cancer retinoblastoma (RB), bladder cancer, and osteogenic sarcoma. [provided by RefSeq]|
|Synonyms||OSRC antibody, RB antibody, p105-Rb antibody, pRb antibody, pp110 antibody, RB1 antibody, retinoblastoma suspectibility protein antibody, retinoblastoma-associated protein antibody, retinoblastoma 1 antibody|
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the C-terminus region of human Rb. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
