Tween 20 (50%)
|Product Description||Tween 20 (50%)|
|Background||Non ionic detergents like Tween 20 are used in immunoassays for diluting antibodies to lower background, and non-specific antigen-antibody (ag-ab) reaction. This detergent is also used in washing buffer from 0.1- 0.5% in all immunoassays (ELISA, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Blot assays and others) to reduce background. Tween 20 or Polysorbate 20 PEG(20) sorbitan monolaurate, lowers surface tension of water. |
|Applications||ELISA, ICC/IF, IHC, WB|
|Application Note||For diluting antibodies use 1:1000 in buffers (1 ml into 999 ml).|
Washing buffer use 1:500 (1 ml into 499 ml).
