|Full Name||uroporphyrinogen decarboxylase|
|Product Description||Rabbit Polyclonal antibody to UROD (uroporphyrinogen decarboxylase)|
|Background||This gene encodes the fifth enzyme of the heme biosynthetic pathway. This enzyme is responsible for catalyzing the conversion of uroporphyrinogen to coproporphyrinogen through the removal of four carboxymethyl side chains. Mutations and deficiency in this enzyme are known to cause familial porphyria cutanea tarda and hepatoerythropoetic porphyria. [provided by RefSeq]|
|Synonyms||PCT antibody, UPD antibody, UROD antibody, uroporphyrinogen III decarboxylase antibody, uroporphyrinogen decarboxylase antibody|
|Cellular Localization||Cytoplasm |
|Immunogen||Recombinant protein encompassing a sequence within the center region of human UROD. The exact sequence is proprietary.|
|Predicted Cross Reactivity species Predicted cross-reactivity:|
Predicted cross-reactivity is based on sequence homology, with greater than 80% immunogen sequence identity considered positive.
