GeneTex has supported the world's leading researchers for over 15 years with our quality antibodies. Our products continue to be referenced in leading publications and we are proud to be able to contribute to the research community. In 2011 alone, thousands of papers were published using GeneTex's products.
For March 2012, we are proud to highlight a recent publication in the journal Nature. Lin et al. reported that acetyltransferase p300 and deacetylases HDAC1 oppositely regulate the activity of AMPK, the master energy regulator kinase in cells.
Through IP and WB analyses using GeneTex's AMPKα2, AMPKγ1 and AMPKγ2 antibodies, Lin et al. demonstrated the α2 subunit, rather than the γ1 and γ2 subunits, is regulated by p300 and HDAC1. This finding opens new insights into the metabolic regulatory roles of HDAC1. We would like to congratulate Dr. Lin on an excellent paper.
