This product does not require protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections.This product does not require antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining of paraffin sections. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Background:
Recognises alpha fetoprotein, a glycoprotein of 70kD. AFP synthesis occurs in tissues including the gut, liver and foetal yolk sac. AFP expression may be seen in germ cell neoplasma and in liver carcinoma.
