Background:
The affinity purified anti goat IgG reacts with immunoglobulins and the papain derived Fc and Fab fragments by IEP and gel diffusion techniques. There is no reaction with human, mouse or rabbit serum.. Chickens were immunized with highly purified goat IgG isolated from normal pooled goat serum, in Freund's adjuvant. Eggs were collected, the IgY fraction prepared and the anti goat IgG immunoaffinity purified off a solid phase immunoabsorbant. Anti Goat IgG was further absorbed against human, mouse and rabbit IgG
