Application Note:
For diluting antibodies use 1ml Brig 35 solution added to 400 ml of appropriate buffer. For washing buffer use 5 ml Brig 35 solution added to 95 ml of appropriate buffer. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Background:
Brig 35 (Polyoxyethylene Laural Ether), also known as Brij 35, is a non ionic detergent used in immunoassays for diluting antibodies to lower background, and non specific ag-ab reaction. Brig 35 is a polyoxyethylene laural ether that has a lower surface tension than water.

Storage Buffer:
Detergent is supplied as 30% in water with 0.05% preservative.
Tested Applications:
IHC (Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections), Western blot. The usefulness of this product in other applications has not been determined.
