Background:
Two receptors of LTB4 was identified: BLT1 and BLT2 by Tager AM (PMID:12895595). This two receptors are G protein-coupled receptor with seven transmembrane. LTB4R has high-affinity specific for LTB(4), but BLT2 was not. LTB4 was hightly expressed in leukocytes, whereas BLT2 expressed ubiquitously. This receptors play role in immune responses and inflammatory diseases by mediating the activities of LTB4.
