Background:
ANXA11 (Annexin XI) was a member of the Ca2+-dependent, phospholipid-binding protein family, which showed a cell cycle-specific distribution from the cytoplasm to the mitotic spindle. In metaphase, annexin XI was up-regulated and costained with alpha-tubulin. ANXA11 was also shown a Ca2+ dependent distrubution in the nuclear and cytoplasmic domain. Annexin XI also shown 1) the regulation function of secretion or degranulation of neutrophil granules; 2) insulin release; 3)vesicle formation function in the cell.
