How do I place an order?


There are several ways to place an order. You can:

    1. Place your order online at www.GeneTex.com 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is convenient, fast, and secure.
    2. Fax your order to (210) 677-8843. Need an order form?
    3. Call your order in toll-free at (877) GeneTex (436-3839) and let our friendly representatives help you.
    4. E-mail your order to sales@genetex.com.


Please be sure to include your billing address, shipping address, contact information (phone number, fax number, e-mail address), payment information (credit card number or purchase order number), and order details (catalog number and quantity).

If you are an international buyer, please also include your broker and tax-exempt information (if applicable) to expedite your shipment.

How do I place an order online?

To place an order on our website you must first register. You can register by clicking on the "Register" link from our homepage at www.GeneTex.com and filling in the appropriate information. You can then add an item to your "ice bucket" (shopping cart) through the item's data sheet or by using the quick order feature if you already know the catalog number. Once you have everything you need in your ice bucket simply checkout by following the instructions online and filling in the appropriate information.

What are the advantages of buying online at GeneTex?

There are several advantages to buying online at www.GeneTex.com. You can place your order using our secured server, check your order status, and create a wish list for future purchases.

How will I know if GeneTex has received my order?

Once your order is placed we will send you confirmation e-mail within one business day. If your order is placed with a fax number we will send you a confirmation fax within one business day. If you do not receive a confirmation within one business day please contact our sales team at sales@genetex.com to be sure we have received your order.

How much does the product cost?

GeneTex strives to provide the highest quality antibodies at the lowest price possible. We want you to get the most research for your money. All of our prices are clearly marked on our online catalog at www.GeneTex.com. If you have any questions regarding prices please contact sales@genetex.com.

How can we pay?

First time domestic customers must submit a credit reference sheet to set up an account or place the order with a credit card (American Express, Visa, MasterCard). International customers must prepay for all orders using a credit card (American Express, Visa, MasterCard) or by wire transfer.

Please, note that terms of payment are net thirty (30) days from the date of shipment unless otherwise stated. A 2% service charge per month will be added to accounts past due over 30 days. For more information regarding payment terms please contact our accounting department at accounting@genetex.com.

What information do you require for my first order?

The following information is required for your first order:

    1. Billing and shipping addresses.
    2. Contact information including purchasers name, e-mail address, phone, and fax number.
    3. Credit reference sheet if you wish to set up an account. Credit card information including cardholders name, billing address, card number, expiration date, and the security code.
    4. Purchase details including the product catalog number and quantity.


Please note that we also require that all international customers notify GeneTex of all necessary documents or permits needed for customs clearance or other purposes. GeneTex will not be responsible for items damaged due to customs delays.

Do you offer bulk discounts?

GeneTex does offer bulk discounts on most products ordered in quantities of ten or more. If you are interested in obtaining a bulk quote for one of our products, please contact support@genetex.com for more information.

Is the product in stock?

While we try to have our most popular items in stock, some of our products may be either in production or in stock at one of our production facilities. Please, inquire about the availability of an item by calling us at 877-GENETEX or e-mailing info@genetex.com.

Where do you ship?

We can ship anywhere in the world except Cuba. Some items may not be available in certain areas. Please see the online data sheet or contact info@genetex.com for more information.

What are your shipping and handling charges?

We have a couple of different option for both domestic and international shipping. For shipping within the continental United States:

    1. Ship using our FedEx account priority overnight - $28 shipping and $17 handling.
    2. Ship using your FedEx, DHL, or UPS account priority overnight - $17 handling.
    3. Ship within Texas using our FedEx account priority overnight - $15 shipping and handling.
    4. Shipments requiring dry ice - $20 additional.


For international shipping to Canada:

    1. Ship using our FedEx account - $65 shipping and handling.
    2. Ship using your FedEx, DHL, or UPS account - $25 handling and documentation fee.
    3. Shipments requiring dry ice - $20 additional.


For international shipping to countries other than Canada:

    1. Ship using our FedEx account - $100 shipping and handling.
    2. Ship using your FedEx, DHL, or UPS account - $25 handling and documentation fee.
    3. Shipments requiring dry ice - $20 additional.


Please note that any duties, customs, or other fees associated with international shipment will be the responsibility of the customer.

When do you ship?

We ship domestic packages Monday through Thursday, packages to Canada and Mexico Monday through Wednesday, and international packages to countries other than Canada and Mexico on Friday and Monday.

What is the transit time?

Within the United States the transit time is overnight. Most areas will receive their package by 11 am the next day. The transit time for Canada and Mexico is usually two days, and the transit time for international packages is usually around three days. Please note that there may be delays due to customs regulations.

Please, also note that your package will arrive between 8:30 am and 11:00 am. FedEx will not deliver the package if there is not someone present to sign for the package. GeneTex can not be held responsible for delays due to the absence of an appropriate signor. Please, notify us if you will not be available between the hours of 8:30 am and 11:00 am to sign for your package.

Does the transit time affect the antibody?

We package our products so that they will not be affected by the normal transit times. If you are concerned about the condition of your purchase after a longer than normal transit time, please contact our technical support team at support@genetex.com for details.

Do you have a distributor in my country?

We do have distributors in several countries. Please see our distributors page for contact details for all of our authorized distributors. If there is not a distributor in your country you may order directly from us. We are always open to suggestions for qualified distributors in new areas. If you wish to become a distributor or would like to recommend a distributor in your area please contact distribution@genetex.com.

Can I get a sample of an antibody to test?

While some of our products have sample sizes available, most do not. Please, understand that because we are a small company, we must cover our costs. We do our best to keep our prices low, and because of this, we are unable to offer sample sizes on many of our products. If you would be interested in testing an antibody in a new application or against a new species, please contact our technical support team at support@genetex.com to check the availability of a sample of that antibody.
