The ED50 determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of thymidine uptake by BaF3 cells expressing FGF receptors is <0.5 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of ≥2x10^6 units/mg.
Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.2-0.5 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers. Reconstitute in ddH2O. Store at -20ºC. Product is stable for at least 12 months.

Background
FGF-9 is a heparin binding growth factor that belongs to the FGF family. FGF-9 stimulates the proliferation and activation of glial cells and other cells that express FGF receptors. Recombinant murine FGF-9 is a 23.3 kDa protein containing 205 amino acid residues.
