The recombinant rat FGF-9 is fully biologically active when compared to standards. The ED50, determined by the dose-dependent proliferation of BAF3 cells expressing FGF receptors is <0.5 ng/ml.
Reconstitute in 10 mM Tris (pH 8.0) to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can be diluted into other aqueous buffers. Stored at -20ºC for future use.

FGF-9 (also known as Glial Activating Factor) is a heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation and activation of glial cells and other cells that express FGF receptors. The rat FGF-9 is a 23.3 kDa protein containing 205 amino acid residues.
