Application Note

The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent induction of choline acetyl transferase activity in rat basal forebrain primary septal cell cultures was found in the range of 20-50 ng/ml.

Background

Neurotrophin-4 (NT-4/NT-5) is a potent neurotrophic factor that supports the growth and survivability of nerve and/or glial cells. The active form of human Neurotrophin 4 is a dimer, formed by two identical 130 amino acid subunits.
