The ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human TF-1 cells is <10 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of >1 x10^5 units/mg.
We recommend a quick spin followed by reconstitution in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4ºC for 1 week or –20ºC for future use.

Stem Cell Factor (SCF) is a hematopoietic growth factor that exerts its activity at the early stages of hematopoiesis. SCF stimulates the proliferation of myeloid, erythroid, and lymphoid progenitors in bone marrow cultures. Recombinant murine SCF is an 18.3 kDa protein containing 164 amino acid residues.
