Protein's bioactivity determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) using a concentration range of 0.1-0.5 ng/ml.
Reconstitute in water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. This solution can then be diluted into other aqueous buffers and stored at 4ºC for 1 week or –20ºC for future use.

Background
VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) is a secreted homodimeric protein, secreted by a variety of Vascularized tissues. VEGF stimulates endothelial cell growth, angiogenesis, and capillary permeability. Human VEGF is a 28.4 kDa homodimeric protein consisting of two 121 amino acid polypeptide chains.
