Background

The protein encoded by this gene interacts with thyroid hormone receptor in a ligand-dependent manner and enhances thyroid hormone-dependent activation from thyroid response elements. This protein contains a bromodomain and is thought to be a nuclear receptor coactivator. Three alternatively spliced transcript variants that encode distinct isoforms have been identified. HepG2 whole cell and nuclear extracts (30 μg) were separated by 5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with BRD8 antibody [C1C2], Internal (GTX115500) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.
