Host Rabbit
Clonality Polyclonal
Isotype IgG
Application IHC-P, IHC-Fr, ELISA
Reactivity Human
APPLICATION

Application Note

Immunohistochemistry 1:25-1:50. This antibody can be used on both frozen and formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Prolonged fixation in buffered formalin can destroy the epitope. This antibody may be used at a dilution of 1:25-1:50. For paraffin sections, incubation of primary antibody for one hour at 37º is recommended. The optimum conditions should be determined by the individual laboratory.

Background

This antigen was identified by differential screening of cDNA libraries from estrogen responsive breast cancer cell lines. This antigen is expressed in normal gastric and small intestinal mucosa and breast epithelium. In cancer, this antigen is expressed in gastric carcinoma and gynecological cancers. This antibody recognizes cytoplasm with perinuclear condensation. Presence of this antigen in breast carcinomas provides research investigators supplementary information for identifying patients with likely positive response to hormone therapy and a favorable prognosis.
