Application Note

Recommended Starting Dilutions:
For ICC/IF: Use at 1:10-1:50
For WB: Use at 1:10-1:50
For IHC: Use at 1:10-1:50
For ELISA: Use at 1:20-1:200
Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions should be determined experimentally by the researcher.

Specificity/Sensitivity

Specific for the hexon group antigen of numerous Adenovirus. Clone 1431: Known reactivity with 34 serotypes of Adenovirus including types 40 & 41. Crossreactivity data available for this clone. Clone 1461: Known reactivity with at least 21 serotypes of Adenovirus including types 40 & 41. Clones 1411, 1471,1481 & 1491 are known to be reactive with Adeno types :1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7a, 8, 11, 14, 20, 21, 26, 31, 40 & 41. Other types not tested. All GeneTex clones for this target are non-reactive with Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV, Para 1, 2 & 3, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, H. pylori and mammalian cells.

Storage

Store as concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), store at 4ºC. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20ºC or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
