APPLICATION

Application Note

We recommend the following starting dilutions:

WB: 1:500~1:1000
ELISA: 1:20000

Optimal dilutions should be determined experimentally by the end user.

Calculated MW

47 and 76 kDa. ( Note )

Specificity/Sensitivity

C1S (heavy chain,Cleaved-Arg437) Antibody detects endogenous levels of fragment of activated C1S resulting from cleavage adjacent to Arg437.
PROPERTIES

Form

Liquid

Buffer

Phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.

Storage

Store as concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), store at 4ºC. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20ºC or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.

Antigen Species

Human

Immunogen

The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human C1s.

Purification

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.

Conjugation

Unconjugated

Note

For laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
TARGET

Synonyms

Complement C1S,Edspd2,C1S

Background

C1s B chain is a serine protease that combines with C1q and C1s to form C1, the first component of the classical pathway of the complement system. C1r activates C1s so that it can, in turn, activate C2 and C4.
