Background

Reacts with the rat LFA-1 a chain (160-170kD) which is associated with the b chain (CD18; 95-100 kD). LFA-1 is one of the leucocyte integrins (b2 integrin) which plays an important role in leucocyte physiology. Functionally, this monoclonal inhibits homotypic aggregation of PHA blasts. It also blocks binding of rat lymphocytes to purified rat ICAM-1.
