FACS: Use 1μg for 10^6 cells. IHC-acetone fixed frozen tissue sections: Use at an assay dependent dilution. IP: Use at an assay dependent dilution. The antibody precipitates a (Mr 150/90 kDa) heterodimer from mouse leukocytes. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
The mouse CD18 antigen is present on mouse T-cells, B-cells, NK cells, monocytes, macrophages and granulocytes.
Preservative: 0.09% Sodium Azide. Constituents: 1.0% BSA, 0.01M PBS. pH 7.2

Type I membrane protein.
CD18 is an integrin: Integrin beta chain beta 2. Integrins are integral cell surface proteins composed of an alpha chain and a beta chain. A given chain may combine with multiple partners resulting in different integrins. For example, beta 2 combines with the alpha L chain to form the integrin LFA1, and combines with the alpha M chain to form the integrin Mac1. Integrins are known to participate in cell adhesion as well as cell surface mediated signalling. CD18 is expressed by most leucocytes.
