Background
This gene encodes a member of a family of serine/threonine protein kinases that participate in cell cycle regulation. The encoded protein is the catalytic subunit of the cyclin-dependent protein kinase complex, which regulates progression through the cell cycle. Activity of this protein is especially critical during the G1 to S phase transition. This protein associates with and regulated by other subunits of the complex including cyclin A or E, CDK inhibitor p21Cip1 (CDKN1A), and p27Kip1 (CDKN1B). Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2014]

Untreated (–) and treated (+) HeLa whole cell extracts (30 μg) were separated by 12% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with CDK2 (phospho Tyr15) antibody [HL1474] (GTX636948) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.

Specificity test was performed by coating the plate with CDK1/2/3/5 peptide and CDK1/2/3/5 (phospho Tyr15) peptide (15.63 ng/mL). Coated peptides were probed with CDK2 (phospho Tyr15) antibody [HL1474] (GTX636948) (1 μg/mL). Goat anti-rabbit IgG antibody (HRP) (GTX213110-01) (1:10000) was used to detect the bound primary antibody.

Drosophila tissue extract (50 μg) was separated by 12% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with CDK2 (phospho Tyr15) antibody [HL1474] (GTX636948) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody, and the signal was developed with Trident ECL plus-Enhanced.
