Background

In response to DNA strand breaks, chromatin adopts a relaxed structure due to the addition of poly(ADP-ribose) (PAR) to chromatin proteins by PARP enzymes (see PARP1; MIM 173870), and this relaxation facilitates the repair of DNA damage. CHD1L interacts with PAR and has a role in chromatin relaxation following DNA damage (Ahel et al., 2009 [PubMed 19661379]).[supplied by OMIM]

Immunoprecipitation of CHD1L protein by 2 μg of CHD1L antibody (GTX119360) 7.5% SDS-PAGE The immunoprecipitated CHD1L protein was detected by CHD1L antibody (GTX119360) diluted at 1:1000. EasyBlot anti-rabbit IgG (GTX221666-01) was used as a secondary reagent.

KO/KD

Non-transfected (–) and transfected (+) 293T whole cell extracts (30 μg) were separated by 7.5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with CHD1L antibody [N2C1], Internal (GTX119360) diluted at 1:5000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.
