Cellular Localization

Nucleus

Background

This gene encodes a progestin-induced protein, which belongs to the HECT (homology to E6-AP carboxyl terminus) family. The HECT family proteins function as E3 ubiquitin-protein ligases, targeting specific proteins for ubiquitin-mediated proteolysis. This gene is localized to chromosome 8q22 which is disrupted in a variety of cancers. This gene potentially has a role in regulation of cell proliferation or differentiation. [provided by RefSeq]

GTX130759 ICC/IF Image

EDD antibody detects EDD protein at nucleus by immunofluorescent analysis.
Sample: U87-MG cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min.
Green: EDD protein stained by EDD antibody (GTX130759) diluted at 1:500.
Red: alpha Tubulin, a cytoskeleton marker, stained by alpha Tubulin antibody [GT114] (GTX628802) diluted at 1:1000.
