Background

This gene encodes a carcinoma-associated antigen and is a member of a family that includes at least two type I membrane proteins. This antigen is expressed on most normal epithelial cells and gastrointestinal carcinomas and functions as a homotypic calcium-independent cell adhesion molecule. The antigen is being used as a target for immunotherapy treatment of human carcinomas. Mutations in this gene result in congenital tufting enteropathy. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2008]

GTX635474 WB Image

Various whole cell extracts (30 μg) were separated by 10% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with EpCAM antibody [GT852] (GTX635474) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-mouse IgG antibody (GTX213111-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.

Anti-EpCAM antibody [GT852] used in Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence (ICC/IF). GTX635474

GTX635474 ICC/IF Image

EpCAM antibody [GT852] detects EpCAM protein at cell membrane by immunofluorescent analysis.
Sample: HCT116 cells were fixed in ice-cold MeOH for 5 min.
Green: EpCAM stained by EpCAM antibody [GT852] (GTX635474) diluted at 1:500.
Blue: Fluoroshield with DAPI (GTX30920).
