Background

This receptor binds insulin-like growth factor with a high affinity. It has tyrosine kinase activity. The insulin-like growth factor I receptor plays a critical role in transformation events. Cleavage of the precursor generates alpha and beta subunits. It is highly overexpressed in most malignant tissues where it functions as an anti-apoptotic agent by enhancing cell survival. Orthogonal

Untreated (–) and treated (+) MCF-7 whole cell extracts (30 μg) were separated by 7.5% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with IGF1R beta (phospho Tyr1131) / Insulin Receptor beta (phospho Tyr1146) antibody (GTX133450) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.
