OPN4 Antibody detects endogenous levels of total Melanopsin protein.
Phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Store as concentrated solution. Centrifuge briefly prior to opening vial. For short-term storage (1-2 weeks), store at 4ºC. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20ºC or below. Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Melanopsin.
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen.
For laboratory use only. Not for any clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic use in humans or animals. Not for animal or human consumption.
Found in soma, dendrites and proximal part of axons of certain retinal ganglion cells.
Photoreceptor required for regulation of circadian rhythm. Contributes to pupillar reflex and other non-image forming responses to light. May be able to isomerize covalently bound all-trans retinal back to 11-cis retinal.
