Background

NEIL2 belongs to a class of DNA glycosylases homologous to the bacterial Fpg/Nei family. These glycosylases initiate the first step in base excision repair by cleaving bases damaged by reactive oxygen species and introducing a DNA strand break via the associated lyase reaction (Bandaru et al., 2002 [PubMed 12509226])[supplied by OMIM]

U87-MG whole cell and nuclear extracts (30 μg) were separated by 10% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with NEIL2 antibody (GTX132565) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.

NEIL2 antibody detects NEIL2 protein at cytoplasm and nucleus by immunofluorescent analysis.
Sample: U87-MG cells were fixed in ice-cold MeOH for 5 min.
Green: NEIL2 stained by NEIL2 antibody (GTX132565) diluted at 1:500.
Red: phalloidin, a cytoskeleton marker, diluted at 1:100.
