Background
This gene encodes the phosphatase 2A catalytic subunit. Protein phosphatase 2A is one of the four major Ser/Thr phosphatases, and it is implicated in the negative control of cell growth and division. It consists of a common heteromeric core enzyme, which is composed of a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit, that associates with a variety of regulatory subunits. Various whole cell extracts (30 μg) were separated by 10% SDS-PAGE, and the membranes were blotted with PP2A alpha + PP2A beta antibody (GTX133710) diluted at 1:1000 and competitor's antibody (sc-14020) diluted at 1:100. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.
