Cat No. GTX10189

Host Mouse
Clonality Monoclonal
Clone Name PS2
Isotype IgG1
Application ELISA
Reactivity Human
APPLICATION

Application Note

ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. For the detection of PSA antigen use in ELISA as an antibody pair with GTX10190 ( GTX10189 coating and GTX10190 as conjugate). For the detection of free PSA use in ELISA as an antibody pair with GTX10188 (using either antibody to coat or as conjugate). Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Background

PSA is a protease present in seminal plasma. It is thought to function normally in the liquefaction of seminal coagulum, presumably by hydrolysis of the high molecular mass seminal vesicle protein. Serum levels of this protein are useful in the diagnosis and monitoring of prostatic carcinoma.
