Background

The protein encoded by this gene is a membrane-associated prostaglandin E synthase, which catalyzes the conversion of prostaglandin H2 to prostaglandin E2. This protein also has been shown to activate the transcription regulated by a gamma-interferon-activated transcription element (GATE). Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq]

Various whole cell extracts (30 μg) were separated by 10% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with PTGES2 antibody [N2C3] (GTX112174) diluted at 1:1000. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.
