Background

RANTES is a protein that has been shown to be a chemoattractant for peripheral blood monocytes. It appears to selectively attract T cells of the CD4+/CD45RO+ phenotype in vitro. Murine RANTES is a 7.8 kDa protein containing 68 amino acid residues.
