Summary
The Respiratory Syncytial Virus Nucleoprotein ELISA Kit is a sandwich ELISA assay designed for the quantitative measurement of respiratory syncytial virus nucleoprotein (RSV NP} in saliva samples. A capture rabbit monoclonal antibody against RSV NP is immobilized in the plate wells. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, allowing NP to bind to the capture antibody. After washing away unbound substances, an HRP-conjugated rabbit monoclonal antibody is added to detect the captured NP. Following another series of washes, TMB substrate is added for color development. The Stop Solution is then applied, which changes the color from blue to yellow. The intensity of the color, measured at 450 nm, indicates the amount of bound RSV NP determined by comparison to the standard curve.
