Background

Mutations in this gene lead to tuberous sclerosis complex. Its gene product is believed to be a tumor suppressor and is able to stimulate specific GTPases. The protein associates with hamartin in a cytosolic complex, possibly acting as a chaperone for hamartin. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Comparison

Whole cell extract (30 μg) was separated by 5% SDS-PAGE, and the membranes were blotted with TSC2 antibody (GTX130511) diluted at 1:1000 and competitor's antibody (CST#3612) diluted at 1:500. The HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG antibody (GTX213110-01) was used to detect the primary antibody.
