Summary
The ViroMAX™ Human Papillomavirus Type 16 E7 Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV-16) E7 in samples. HPV-16 E7 is an oncoprotein that plays a key role in viral-induced cell transformation by interfering with host cell cycle regulation. A rabbit monoclonal anti-E7 capture antibody is immobilized in the plate wells. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, allowing E7 to bind to the capture antibody. After washing away unbound substances, an HRP-conjugated rabbit monoclonal antibody is added to detect the captured E7. Following another series of washes, TMB substrate is added for color development. The Stop Solution is then applied, which changes the color from blue to yellow. The absorbance is measured at 450 nm, and the concentration of E7 in the sample is determined by comparison with the standard curve.
