ViroMAX MERS-CoV Nucleoprotein Sandwich ELISA Kit

The ViroMAX™ MERS-CoV Nucleoprotein Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) nucleoprotein (NP) in samples. MERS-CoV nucleoprotein (NP) is a highly conserved structural protein that binds the viral RNA genome to form the core ribonucleoprotein complex, making it a widely used target antigen for MERS-CoV detection. A rabbit polyclonal anti-NP capture antibody is immobilized in the plate wells. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, allowing NP to bind to the capture antibody. After washing away unbound substances, an HRP-conjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody is added to detect the captured NP. Following another series of washes, TMB substrate is added for color development. The Stop Solution is then applied, which changes the color from blue to yellow. The absorbance is measured at 450 nm, and the concentration of NP in the sample is determined by comparison with the standard curve.
