ViroMAX West Nile virus NS1 Sandwich ELISA Kit

The ViroMAX™ West Nile Virus NS1 Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of West Nile virus (WNV) non-structural protein 1 (NS1) in samples. WNV NS1 is a non-structural glycoprotein involved in viral replication and is secreted from infected cells, making it a useful biomarker for the detection and study of WNV infection. A mouse monoclonal anti-NS1 capture antibody is immobilized in the plate wells. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells, allowing NS1 to bind to the capture antibody. After washing away unbound substances, an HRP-conjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody is added to detect the captured NS1. Following another series of washes, TMB substrate is added for color development. The Stop Solution is then applied, which changes the color from blue to yellow. The absorbance is measured at 450 nm, and the concentration of NS1 in the sample is determined by comparison with the standard curve.
